Download the following files. You can get these from the Blackberry Website: link or click on the link below.
- Combo Zip file conatining the following
- JDK (Required before the MDS server will run)
- Blackberry MDS server
- Blackberry 9530 simulator
- Zip file containing Windows Mobile 6.1 simulator
- You will need to run either Activesync or Windows Mobile Device Center (Windows 7) to connect the Sim to the Internet

Blackberry installation instructions.
- You need to install the JDK first
- Next install the MDS server. This is required for the Internet connection for the phone. It will also add a "Path" line to your Win 7 config file which points to the JDK (Java Development Kit) which is required to run the MDS and the Phone.
- Finally install the phone simulator
Running eveything.
- After completing the install above, you will need to reboot your PC
- Run the MDS server first. It will open a DOS screen where you will see the Apache server load and some other messages - if this does not load then there will be a problem with the path name to the JDK. See the bullet below to solve this problem. Hopefully you won't have to do this.
- The line is as follows (see picture below). You can access this in Windows 7 by going to the Control Panel, selecting System and then in the left panel select Advanced System Settings. Look near the bottom of the Advanced Panel and click on Environment Variables. Edit the Path in the System Variables to include the following line: C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_12\bin;

- With the MDS server running all you need to is load the 9530 Storm simulator and you can configure it like a normal phone.
